The process of intaglio etching dates back to the 1500s and was used by Picasso and Rembrandt.
Making of the plate includes using nitric acid, hard and soft ground to etch my drawing into a zinc metal plate. After 40-80 hours of working the plate, it is ready to hold the ink to make an etching.
When I have completed the plate I hand ink and pull it on my etching press each time for each individual print. After the ink has dried I hand color each one with water color and sign. This process makes each one an original.
